WOMANIFESTO, 2022. Pavlina Marvin

"The light is close by… sometimes when I walk around Athens and the sun hides behind the buildings – and there are many grey, forgotten, abandoned buildings in the city – all it takes is a small shift for me to find again, in front of my eyes, the light, and to feel that I am here, that life is ahead and that everything is reversible. This small shift is what RUNONART aspires to bring forward. It will help us listen to the voices of people who can, through their life and work, relieve us from the barrage of tragic events which overwhelm us daily. Artists can give a different perspective to things and broaden our horizons, our way of thinking."

-Efi Spyrou, Director

Attempting to highlight the feminine artistic voice of today we invited female creators to write and present their own manifesto, giving them the space to raise their voices for one minute and shine their own light in answer to the challenges of our times. Stepping away from the mainstream interpretation of current affairs, the first film-manifesto enables women from a wide age range and various nationalities to express their artistic voice, manifesting their passion for the present and galvanizing the dialogue between women and the arts.

Attempting to delve into the multiple terms (social, cultural, psychological) on the basis of which identities are formed, the project IDENTITY IN BETWEEN is organized by RUNONART, inviting five women artists to create new performance projects and to share their artistic expression and ideas on the notion of the multiple prisms of one’s being.

ART STORIES ART SECRETS, 2019. Dimitrios Oikonomou

The spotlight is set on ten Greek Cypriot artists who become the protagonists in a series of interviews.

Which is their source of inspiration? How does an artist work in his/her studio? What are they searching for? What are the means and materials they use?

The answers to all these questions are passed on to the viewers in a very simple and yet direct way and their stories are not far from our own experiences.
